How should the balance/scales be cleaned?

Use window cleaner to remove dirt on the weighing pan, draft shield, housing and control/display panel.

Weighing pans should be made of stainless steel and should be detachable for cleaning.

Use a brush or a hand vacuum cleaner to carefully remove loose samples, debris or powder from below the weighing pan so that the particles do not drop into the interior of the balance or scale.
